Rohan Singh is a Computer Vision Engineer at Dopl Technologies, where he applies his expertise in computer vision, robotics and AI to advance Dopl's mission of making diagnostic and procedural healthcare accessible to all. He received his Masters degree in Robotics from the University of Maryland, and is passionate about building robotics systems at scale that operate reliably in the real world.
Prior to joining Dopl, Rohan spent several years as a Machine Learning Engineer at Amazon, working on their cashier-less store technology (Just Walk Out). There, his work focused on deploying multiple vision AI services on the edge, tackling various optimization problems that come with running inference on resource constrained compute. Earlier in his career, he worked on developing localization and mapping systems on UAVs, and control algorithms for counter-drone systems.
From a young age, Rohan has been captivated by robotics and the idea that intelligent machines could meaningfully improve people's lives. That childhood fascination grew into a career-long drive to build robotic and autonomous systems that solve real human problems. Dopl's vision of using technology to make specialized healthcare accessible to everyone regardless of where they live speaks directly to that purpose, and is what drew him to the team.
Fun fact: When Rohan isn't making cool AI, he's getting his hands dirty in a different way - at the pottery wheel.
